«ZVUK VOKRUG» ("Sound Around") — a website that operated at zvuk.nnov.ru in the Nizhny Novgorod domain nnov.ru; also known as «ZVUKВОКРУГ». Web archive copies date from 2004 to 2022.
The earliest preserved snapshot was taken on April 19, 2004: the page is titled «ЗВУК ВОКРУГ», displays the current date (Monday, April 19, 2004), and shows the line "Events listings for the whole week"[1]. This fragment tells us only that the site maintained a weekly events calendar. The rest of the early copy has not survived in readable form, so nothing can be said about the site's subject matter, sections, authors, or structure based on available data.
The site appears in the aggregate Counter.nn.ru rankings for 2008, with a best result of fourth place. A year-by-year breakdown of the rankings and the site's position among others can be found in the archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet.
Fate of the address
The latest capture of the address in the web archive is dated January 1, 2022; it contains neither a title nor any readable text, making it impossible to determine what the site had become by that point[2]. In the registry the address is marked as having moved, but no new location was recorded: where the site relocated, when this occurred, and whether it operated continuously throughout those years remains unknown based on available data.
