Worked as a pediatrician, then chief physician of the Zinyakovskaya local hospital of the Gorodets District; from 1984 to 1997 — chief physician of the Gorodets Central District Hospital; from 1997 to 2005 headed the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Diagnostic Center.
