Yendovitskaya Elena is a Russian judge who in 2024 was appointed by presidential decree to the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Bryansk Regional Court for Administrative Cases. In September 2026, her candidacy was placed on the agenda of a session of the Supreme Qualification Board of Judges (SQBJ) of the Russian Federation for consideration for the post of Chairperson of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court.[1][2]

The vacancy for Chairperson of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court arose after the incumbent chairperson, Vyacheslav Popravko, stepped down at the end of March 2026 — according to one publication, his resignation was submitted in February 2026 and accepted at an extraordinary session.[3][2] In April 2026, the SQBJ announced the opening of applications for the position.[1]

In September 2026, Yendovitskaya's application for recommendation as a candidate was placed on the agenda of the board session scheduled for 22 September.[2] At the time of consideration, she was serving as acting Deputy Chairperson of the Bryansk Regional Court for Administrative Cases.[3]

Context: preceding events at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court

Shortly before Popravko's resignation, judges Viktor Fomin and Vyacheslav Sapega, who had been candidates for the positions of deputy chairmen of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court, also left their posts.[1] Subsequently, an anti-corruption lawsuit was granted against both: their property was transferred to the state, and payment of their honorary pensions was discontinued.[4]
