Khimich Vladimir Leonidovich (born July 26, 1939) — head of the "Power Plants and Heat Engines" department at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev named after R.E. Alekseev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor.

Key facts of his career
From 1963 to 1970 he worked in engineering positions at the Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Ships (TsKB po SPK), from 1970 to 1974 he was an associate professor at the Ufa Aviation Institute, and from 1975 to 1991 he worked at the Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Ships — in 1975 as head of a sector, and by 1991 as chief designer of power plants. In 1991 he was elected by competition as head of the "Ship Power Plants and Heat Engineering" department at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.

Author of more than 150 scholarly and educational-methodological works, 15 author's certificates and patents, co-author of the educational-methodological handbook "Power Plants of High-Speed Vessels" in 3 parts.
