Headed the Automobiles department at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev continuously from 1941, for 37 years. Founded the Nizhny Novgorod school of researchers in the theory, design, and calculation of suspensions for automobiles and special-purpose vehicles. A problem laboratory was established at the department in 1956 to carry out this work. Led a scientific field devoted to studying load conditions and developing methods for calculating the load-bearing systems of automotive equipment. Was an active proponent of the tradition of continually replenishing the staff of the team he led with the best graduates in the "automobiles and tractors" specialty, who went on to work at the department as instructors, laboratory heads, and engineers, or entered postgraduate study.
