Agrochemistry — soil chemistry (phosphorus in soil); organic and mineral phosphorus-containing fertilizers; plant productivity, the quality and safety of plant produce. Ecology: organic waste from industrial livestock farming (hog, poultry, and other operations) and recommendations for its utilization in agricultural production.
Key facts of her career
She founded a scholarly school of agroecologists recognized throughout Russia. Today it has grown into a distinct branch of agrochemical science, researching the use of industrial livestock waste (its utilization) in agriculture. She has experience in applied research work under contract (testing new fertilizing materials, assessing the environmental impact of economic activity, environmental review, developing waste utilization limits, developing projects for maximum permissible discharges of treated wastewater into surface water sources, and more). Author of 207 publications, including 156 scholarly works, of which 4 are co-authored monographs, 49 are teaching and methodological publications, 8 are textbooks with an approval stamp from the UMO or the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, and 2 are scholarly-methodological works. She has supervised 15 candidates of science and 3 doctors of science to their degrees. Member of the editorial board (and executive editor) of periodically published scholarly proceedings.
