He began his working life in 1977 as an assembler of metal-structure hulls at the Baltic Shipyard named after S. Ordzhonikidze. 1978-1980 — service in the ranks of the Soviet Army. 1980-1995 — work at building-materials enterprises, including in management positions. In 1995 he took a position at ZAO "SU-155" (Moscow). From February 2001 — General Director of the construction and investment company ZAO "SU-155". 2003 — deputy head of the department for economic development in construction at the Department of Urban Development Policy for Development and Reconstruction of the City of Moscow. 2003-2004 — President of ZAO SK "RosStroy", the management company of the ZAO "SU-155" corporation. From August 2004 — General Director of OOO "VANAG" (investment in construction, production of building materials). From March 2006 — Minister of Construction of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
