Valery Nikolaevich Flerov (born 16 December 1925) is a professor of the Department of Electrochemical Production Technologies at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev named after R.E. Alekseev, and a Doctor of Technical Sciences. Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation. A veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

He holds about 50 inventions, is the author of more than 350 scientific papers, and has published 5 books, among them "A Collection of Problems in Applied Electrochemistry" (1967, 1976, 1987), recommended by the Ministry of Education as a textbook for technical universities; "The Latest Advances in Chemical Power Sources" (co-authored), published in Poland and Romania; and "Chemical Technology in the Production of Radio-Electronic Components" (1988).
