Suchanskaya Street — located in Avtozavodsky District, in the Parizhskoy Kommuny settlement.

Many legends and tales circulate about the origin of the name. According to one version, the word "Suchan" is of Chinese origin and means "Flourishing" — this is said to be the source of the street's name in Avtozavodsky District.[1] However, since all of these legends contain a great deal of profanity (including place-name-related profanity), publishing them is not possible.

Also, do not look up "Suchansky Lane." Suchanskaya Street ranks among the most unusual and memorable place names in Nizhny Novgorod, alongside such names as Tormoznaya (Brake), Volnistaya (Wavy), Zamknutaya (Closed), and Korotkaya (Short).[1]
