Sputnik Cinema - a cinema that no longer exists, at the corner of Gorky Street and Kulibin Park.

The cinema was located at 141 Maxim Gorky Street.[1]

Film screenings continued for more than 40 years — from 1958 until the early 2000s, when the building required major renovation.[1]

After the major renovation in the early 2000s, the MASTER PLAZA entertainment complex opened in the building, housing the T.E.A.T.R.O. nightclub and the Feličita disco club. Afterward, the building stood boarded up for several years and fell into disrepair, remaining abandoned in the very center of the city.[1][1]

The public transport stop near the former cinema is called "Sputnik Cinema" and is part of the route of bus No. 40, which connects the center of Nizhny Novgorod with the Avtozavodsky District.[2]

Built in 1958; after the reconstruction of 2000, the cinema was closed and the building changed its purpose.
