The 11th Architecture Rating of Nizhny Novgorod, in which 32 buildings competed for the title of best new construction, was won by a clear favorite – the "Zeleny" ("Green") office building. As tradition has it, in honor of the winner a cake was baked in the shape of its building, which is eaten at the ceremonial announcement of the results of the "Architecture Rating."
The competition for best new construction has been held for 20 years now, every two years, and it involves both leading masters of the city and young architects, who even receive certain preferences when nominating their projects for the competition. This year the buildings were judged by 272 residents of the city of Nizhny Novgorod and 18 experts from various countries.
The "Rating" also included residential complexes of Nizhny Novgorod: "KM-Megapolis" took an honorable 7th place, entering the top ten best new constructions of Nizhny Novgorod. The judges noted the attractive features of the residential complex: a color scheme full of energy combined with a clear silhouette. "KM-Megapolis" became a bright landmark in the city. The architect was presented with a prize: 150 vertical eclairs in the recognizable colors of the residential complex.
