Raisa Khaimovna Mazova (born April 6, 1948) is a professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev named after R.E. Alekseev, and a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

Career

She has worked at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University since 1969. In 1984 she defended her candidate's dissertation in the field of oceanology; since 2007 she has been a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and since 2008 a professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics of NSTU.

Research interests

Hydrodynamic processes in the shelf zone of seas and oceans, and the generation, propagation, and interaction of long sea waves with the coastal zone. Author of more than 80 scientific publications.
