order-nn.ru is the website of Order, a Nizhny Novgorod chain of construction and "paint" stores: an online store of goods for construction and renovation, with a club program and store addresses in Nizhny Novgorod and towns of Nizhny Novgorod Region [1][8]. The Order company traces its history to August 1992 and began by trading in paints and varnishes [5].

History

The domain order-nn.ru was registered on September 1, 2011 [2]. The earliest surviving copy of the site in the web archive dates to January 30, 2012; at that time the site bore the title "ZAO 'Gruppa ORDER'" and served as a showcase for the whole group: sections "Paint Society," "Paint Stores and Shopping Centers," "For Corporate Clients," "Service Centers," "Paint Café and Car Wash Center," and "Order Sports Club," plus master classes and a creative school [3]. According to an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, on September 4, 2014 ZAO "Gruppa Order" was reorganized into OOO "Gruppa Order"; the company's main line of business is wholesale trade in timber, construction materials, and plumbing equipment [10].

In January 2015 the site, under the title "ORDER," described itself as a store of power tools, paints, construction materials, and goods for home and garden; to the earlier sections were added news, company history, a club system with card registration, a product catalog, and a car wash complex [4]. The "Company History" page set out Order's history year by year. According to the company's account, it was founded in August 1992 by a small group of friends, and the name was chosen from the word "order" — "orderliness, architectural element, commission"; in December 1994 the paint store "Khimiya v Bytu" ("Chemistry in Everyday Life") was acquired, in 1995 the first store in the Region opened in Vorsma, in January 2001 the first shopping center, "Krasochny Gorod" ("Paint Town"), opened in Nizhny Novgorod, and in 2003 a store opened in Arzamas; by 2008 nine "Paint Stores" were operating in the Region — from Dzerzhinsk and Pavlovo to Sarov and Lyskovo — and in October 2010 the first regional "Krasochny" shopping center opened in Vyksa [5]. The company wrote there as well that it had contributed its materials and technologies to the construction of the Metro Bridge and Gorkovskaya station, to the painting of the Molitovsky and Myzinsky bridges in 2011, and to the restoration of the Rukavishnikov Estate [5].

The same page began unusually: before the past, it presented imagined pictures of the city's future for 2014, 2015, 2020, and 2035 — Bor becoming part of Nizhny Novgorod, suborbital flights from the Nizhny Novgorod airport, a one-hour trip to Moscow on a maglev train [5]. In 2018, the site's home page became a product catalog with promotions, bonuses, and a personal account [6], and in 2021 the site, under the heading "Product Catalog and Stores," set aside a section for wholesale customers and its own "Order" brand [7].
