Novikov-Priboy Street is a street in the Leninsky District of Nizhny Novgorod.[3] It is named after the Soviet marine-themed writer Alexey Silych Novikov-Priboy.
Location and buildings
The street is one of the streets of the Leninsky District, along with Lenin Avenue, Snezhnaya Street, Gleb Uspensky Street, Tagankaya Street, Admiral Nakhimov Street, and others.[1] According to the address register, the street has 46 houses and buildings numbered from 1 to 67; they include both two-story brick houses and multistory residential complexes up to 14 stories high. Low-rise buildings from the 1950s and 1960s line the street.[4][3] The nearest metro station is Avtozavodskaya, within walking distance.[1]
Urban development
In October 2026, a draft planning and land-survey plan was put up for public discussion for a territory of 18 hectares bounded by Lenin Avenue and Novikov-Priboy, Stankozavodskaya, Snezhnaya, and Khersonskaya streets. The planned residential block is designed for 2,677 people. The documentation was prepared by OOO Sfera at the request of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.[2]
