nap.innov.ru — the website of the Nizhny Novgorod Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (NAIE), a public association of Nizhny Novgorod enterprises with the Nizhny Novgorod telephone code 8312[3]. The site was listed in the nn.ru directory (under /rub/)[1]; the earliest preserved web archive snapshot dates from November 1999[1], and the last from June 2008[3].

The organization behind the site

The homepage stated that "the Nizhny Novgorod Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (NAIE) was founded in 1989 on the principles of voluntary participation and equal rights, to coordinate the business activities of enterprises and protect their economic interests"[1]. In 1999, NAIE's membership, as reported on the homepage, comprised 98 members — industrial enterprises, banks, business structures, institutions of higher education, supply organizations, insurance companies, pension funds, and district and sectoral organizations — with the association overall uniting 358 legal entities that, by its own account, produced approximately 80% of the Region's commercial output[1]. By 2008, the number of members listed on the homepage had grown to 144 enterprises, while the wording about 358 legal entities and 80% of the Region's commercial output remained unchanged[3].

The site's appearance and offerings

The site's structure remained nearly unchanged throughout the years: a menu with sections "Contents," "About NAIE," "Enterprises," "News," "Programs," "Products," "Retekh-99NN," "Exhibitions," and "Contact"[1]; by 2008 the "Retekh-99NN" section had been replaced by "Personnel"[3]. At the bottom of the page, the developer was credited as the "Volgo-Vyatka Branch of the Innovative Center of Vysshaya Shkola" in 1999[1], while by 2002 and 2008 the copyright had changed to "Volgo-Vyatka Branch of RGUIPT"[2][3]. In 2008, a news block appeared on the homepage: the site reported on the opening in the Region of an "innovative business incubator" — a state institution established by the Ministry of Small Business Support under the targeted small business development program for Nizhny Novgorod Region for 2006–2010, with the address Nizhny Novgorod, Larina Street, 22, phone and fax (8312) 75-80-20, and email nibi@pochta.ru[3].

NAIE's own contact telephone — (8312) 30-54-65 — was listed alongside[3]. According to the homepage, following the first round of selection for the business incubator in early February 2007, four companies were chosen, and NAIE participated in reviewing competitive applications on an ongoing basis[3]. No visitor counters or Day of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet voting widgets appear on the site's pages in the preserved snapshots.

The site was known as a resource listed in the nn.ru directory[1], but it does not appear in the preserved samples of the Counter.nn.ru rankings or in Day of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet votes — no traffic or voting data for it has been recorded in our data. This does not necessarily mean that no counter was present on the site at all: it only means that the site left no trace in the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating.

How the site closed

The last known snapshot of the nap.innov.ru homepage in the web archive dates from June 17, 2008[3]. According to our data, the domain no longer exists today; there is no information about the site being moved to another address. As of 2024, NAIE operates under the official name ROR "NAIE" and is located at: Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment, 5/2; contact phone: +7 (831) 433-33-29, email: infonapp@sandy.ru. In the 2020s, NAIE continued to admit new members: in particular, in June 2020 the Nizhny Novgorod metallurgical enterprise OOO "VolgaStalProekt," specializing in the production of metallurgical billets for mechanical engineering, nuclear power, petrochemicals, and shipbuilding, joined the association. In 2022, the Nizhny Novgorod manufacturing enterprise OOO "Promsistema" (city of Bor, Nizhny Novgorod Region) — a full-cycle metalworking company specializing in the manufacture of custom non-standard equipment to client drawings, welding and assembly of metal structures, and mechanical part processing — was admitted to NAIE.[5][4]
