«Nizhegorodsky Listok» ("Nizhny Novgorod Sheet") was a pre-revolutionary Nizhny Novgorod newspaper published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is mentioned among the publications that carried material on city life and local construction, as well as literary works by Nizhny Novgorod authors.

Reports on city life

In October 1913 the newspaper reported on the construction, at the corner of the Otkos, opposite the summer premises of the Commercial Club, of a "massive stone building" intended to house the offices of the "Volga," "Teplokhod" ("Steamship"), and "Torf" ("Peat") companies.

Literary context

In «Nizhegorodsky Listok» and other local newspapers, Ivan Sergeyevich Rukavishnikov — a Nizhny Novgorod poet and prose writer from a well-known merchant family — published his early poems. Alongside his studies, he also practiced painting at the school of Karelin, though literature became his true calling.
