Grigory Nemirov is a Nizhny Novgorod transport analyst and urbanist, author of the Telegram channel "Grigory Is Working — Nizhny Novgorod Urbanist," and editor-in-chief of the project "My Favorite Transport NN." He rose to prominence while still a schoolboy: in 2024, as an eleventh-grader at Lyceum No. 87, he presented a concept for a transport interchange hub at the Gordeevka roundabout, which was reviewed by the deputy governor of the Region[1].

An eleventh-grader's project

Nemirov first conceived the idea of improving the transport interchange in Gordeevka back in ninth grade. By February 2024 he had developed it into a fully realized concept for a transport interchange hub, complete with a visual concept, technical and economic calculations, and an efficiency analysis[1].

The Gordeevka roundabout is a large square near the railway station used daily by tens of thousands of Nizhny Novgorod residents and visitors. The schoolboy proposed relocating the bus stop, creating platforms and a public-transport parking area, adding a dedicated lane, and landscaping the surrounding area. He was assisted by experts from the Nizhny Novgorod Vysshaya Shkola of Economics and the Grad architectural bureau, and the completed project was reviewed by Sergey Morozov, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region[1].

A voice in the tram debate

By 2026, Nemirov is being consulted as an expert. In January, when residents of Scherbinki spoke out against a tram line running through the courtyards on 40 Let Pobedy Street, he publicly supported the routing: the line runs directly into the city center on a fully dedicated right-of-way, while Gagarin Avenue, served by overcrowded buses, needs a trunk transport link — an overground metro equivalent[2].

At the same time, he pointed to a weak point in the project — a planned overpass at Myza, an important interchange node with the city commuter rail[2].

Let us hope that the final project will include a stop at this location, as Myza is an important interchange hub with the urban commuter rail.

A channel read more widely than its subscriber count

Nemirov's channel is a rare example in the city of a channel where the reach of a post is several times greater than the number of subscribers: with an audience of around two hundred and thirty people, recent publications accumulate around six hundred views. Analytical pieces travel beyond their own feed through reposts — this is how texts signed with his name, examining a specific interchange or route, spread further.

In addition to his own channel, Nemirov serves as editor-in-chief of the project "My Favourite Transport NN" and works with the Nizhny Novgorod transport team: in 2026 he submitted a package of route network changes for consideration by the regional Ministry of Transport.
