Momo Yansané (born July 29, 1997, Forécariah, Guinea) is a Guinean footballer who plays as a striker. He has played for clubs in Belarus, Russia, Moldova, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, and Armenia; since 2026 he has played in the Indian Super League for Kerala Blasters. In Russia he is best known for his time with the Nizhny Novgorod club Pari NN, first in the First League and then in the RPL.[3]
Career
Yansané first achieved notable results at the Belarusian club Isloch: across the 2019 and 2020 seasons he played 51 matches for the club, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists.[2] The Moroccan club FUS Rabat is also listed in his career record.[2]
After Isloch came two spells at the Moldovan club Sheriff. In the 2021/2022 season the forward played 16 matches for the Tiraspol club and scored 11 goals; in the 2023/2024 season he added 3 more matches and 1 goal.[3] In between came a season in the RPL with Pari NN (16 matches, 0 goals).[3] In the 2022/2023 season, Manchester United, in a preview of a Champions League match, named Yansané as the opposition's most dangerous player — mistakenly listing him as a Sheriff player, even though the striker was already playing for the Nizhny Novgorod side.[1]
After Sheriff, Yansané played for Rijeka of Croatia (9 matches in the 2023/2024 season), Sumgayit of Azerbaijan (2 matches, 2024/2025), Omonia Aradippou of Cyprus (2 matches), and Pyunik of Armenia (1 match, with a goal in UEFA Conference League qualifying). Since the start of the 2026/2027 season he has played for Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League: 4 matches, 1 goal.[3]
The player's height is 183 cm (6 ft 0 in) and his weight is 79 kg (174 lb).[2] In March 2023, Yansané said he wanted to obtain Russian citizenship, noting that he "really likes it in Russia."[3]
In Nizhny Novgorod
On January 29, 2021, during the team's winter training camp in Turkey, Yansané signed a contract with FC Nizhny Novgorod. The club's deputy general director for transfer policy, Igor Kudryashov, described the striker as a "physically imposing, fast, and technically equipped" forward with a "good sense for goal."[2] In the remainder of the 2020/2021 First League season, Yansané played 16 matches and scored 6 goals; in particular, he scored in the winning match against Veles in the 35th round.[1][3]
By the end of that season, Nizhny Novgorod earned promotion to the RPL. In the 2022/2023 season, Yansane played 16 Premier League matches for Pari NN but did not score any goals.[3] In June 2023, he left the club together with Kudryashov.[1]
