In September 2026, an architectural and artistic concept was approved for the section of the street from Maxim Gorky Square to Ilyinskaya Street. It provides for the removal of exterior air-conditioner units from the main building façades and, in some buildings, the replacement of entrance doors. At the same time, the street is undergoing a major road overhaul, with the roadway being widened to 3–4 lanes; completion of the work is scheduled for October 1, 2026.
Maslyakova Street (formerly Pryadilnaya) runs from Gorky Square and ends at the Pokhvalinskiy Descent.
Maslyakov Georgy Gavrilovich (1925–1943) was a junior sergeant, an infantryman, and a Hero of the Soviet Union. He was born in Gorky. He was posthumously awarded the title of Hero for courage and valor during the crossing of the Dnieper.
