Key career facts

From 1968 he worked at the "Seymovskaya" poultry farm. From 1969 to 1973 — first secretary of the Volodarsky district committee of the Komsomol, member of the bureau of the city Komsomol committee of Dzerzhinsk. From 1977 to 1980 — secretary of the party bureau of the "Seymovskaya" poultry farm. From 1980 to 1987 — director of the "Seymovskaya" poultry farm. From 1987 to 1990 — chairman of the district executive committee of the Dzerzhinsky and Volodarsky districts. 1991–1992 — head of the administration of Volodarsky District. From 1992 — general director of the joint-stock company "Seymovskaya Poultry Farm". From 2005 — Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Awards

Order "Badge of Honour", the medal "Labour Veteran". In 1998, according to the rating of the newspaper "Zemlya Nizhegorodskaya", he was named "Man of the Year". In 2003 the enterprise was awarded the main all-Russian prize — the "Russian National Olympus", and the general director was awarded the medal "For Honour and Valour". In 2004 — for his great contribution to the development of the Non-Black-Earth Region he was awarded the T. S. Maltsev Medal; the public agrarian organisation "Russian Agrarian Movement" (chaired by Minister of Agriculture A. V. Gordeev) awarded him the medal "For Abundance and Prosperity". In 2005 — "For outstanding merit and great personal contribution to the development and strengthening of the Russian state" the Academy of Problems of Security, Defence and Law and Order of the Russian Federation awarded him the Order "Peter the Great" 2nd class. The Agrarian Party of the Russian Federation awarded him an Honorary Certificate, noting his substantial contribution to the rise and development of Russia's food-production sector.
