The most prestigious children's camp in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, it hosts international sessions. Within the region it is known as the "Nizhny Novgorod Artek". A youth camp for recreation, study, and medical rehabilitation.
About us
The children's center "Lazurny" is located 200 km southwest of Nizhny Novgorod, in the Vyksa district on the bank of the Oka River, in a picturesque pine forest. Coniferous woods, clean air, and an atmosphere of kindness and creativity create favorable conditions for children's health improvement and active recreation.
The center "Lazurny" began its history in 1995. Today "Lazurny" is a unique sanatorium and educational health center operating year-round.

The center's director is Honored Physical Culture Worker of the Russian Federation Alexander Viktorovich Vzdyshkin. Creating conditions to strengthen children's health and physical development, and to instill in them ideas about a healthy lifestyle, has been one of the Center's priority tasks since its founding.
Over 14 years, more than 225 pedagogical projects for themed sessions have been carried out at "Lazurny" with the involvement of specialists from various fields. The diversity of the sessions has allowed the teaching staff to identify and apply, in their work, the programs and pedagogical projects most in demand for contemporary children's recreation; traditionally, sessions are organized here for young journalists, members of military-patriotic clubs, and creative groups. 15 themed sessions are held per year.
One of the Center's achievements is that it is popular not only among children and young people of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, but also beyond its borders. Every year "Lazurny" runs an international youth session as part of Russian-German cooperation with the organization "Sport Jugend" under the program "Building New Bridges". Over all the years of cooperation, participants of the international sessions at "Lazurny" have included representatives from more than 20 countries.
