Kazanskaya Embankment is a Nizhny Novgorod, running along The Oka River in the lower part of the city, in the area of Sennaya Square. Located along this embankment are a number of significant sites in city life, connected above all with the region's Muslim community.

At Kazanskaya Embankment, building 6, stands the Nizhny Novgorod Cathedral Mosque — the city's main Muslim place of worship, opened on 20 March 1915. The mosque stands next to Sennaya Square and the bus station of the same name, belongs to the Tatar community of Nizhny Novgorod, and is the spiritual center of Muslims across Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
At Kazanskaya Embankment, building 6A, within the same mosque complex, is registered the Makhinur madrasah — a religious vocational educational institution of Islamic secondary vocational education, part of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast (DUMNO). The madrasah is legally registered at this address, but classes are actually held at: Dzerzhinsk, Zheleznodorozhnaya St., 82.
