The Instrument Group of Companies (Gruppa kompaniy «Instrument») is a Nizhny Novgorod-based manufacturing and engineering organization specializing in consulting, production, and comprehensive supply of industrial tools and process tooling. For more than twenty years, the group has been building its expertise in working with Russian industrial enterprises. In 2018, it launched production of carbide tools under its own brand, AKSIS — from a small workshop with a single grinding machine, it has grown into four full-fledged lines of business, including the complete cycle from powder to finished carbide tools, the production of special tooling, and CNC machines. By output of axial tools, AKSIS is the leader in Russia and is one of only four enterprises in the country to have mastered the full production cycle of carbide tools.

In 2024, the Instrument Group became a resident of the Kulibin Special Economic Zone in Nizhny Novgorod; an industrial cluster covering 64,000 square meters is being formed on the site, combining production, engineering, technology, and workforce training.[5][5][5][5] The head office and main warehouse are located at Moscow Highway, 320B (Kanavinsky District); the company also has two more branches in Nizhny Novgorod.[2]

Activities

The Instrument Group is the official representative of a number of global brands of metal-cutting and measuring tools, including ZCC-CT, Tungaloy, Horn, Walter, C.P.T, UFS, WTO, Forsage, Jonnesway, VSM, and RixelPro.[1] Its own tool production facility is equipped with high-precision equipment from European manufacturers and allows quality control at every stage.[1] Through the B2B platform instrumentgroup.ru, the company offers a wide range of products: drills, milling cutters, indexable-insert cutting tools, taps, dies, calipers, micrometers, chucks, abrasive tools, as well as machine tools and robotic systems for production automation.[4]

The company works with both wholesale buyers and under government contracts (state defense orders, Federal Law 223-FZ); legal support for transactions is provided by an in-house department that represents the group before the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Economy.[3] The office is open from 8:30 to 17:00 on weekdays; bank transfer payments and wholesale orders with delivery are accepted.[2]

Since 2020, the company has posted job openings mainly in Nizhny Novgorod, as well as in Kazan, Yekaterinburg, and Saint Petersburg.
