ANO "Institute for Demographic Development" is a Nizhny Novgorod autonomous non-profit organization dealing with demographic policy issues in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The Institute implements regional programs in the areas of family and birth rate in cooperation with the regional state authorities.

Activities

The Institute serves as the operator of the regional demographic program "OSNOVA — a Nizhny Novgorod Life Project," launched within the framework of the regional Five-Year Family Initiative — an initiative announced following the federal Year of the Family. According to regional authorities, this program has no equivalent anywhere else in the country.

Participation in the "Family Capital of Russia" Competition

The Institute for Demographic Development coordinates the preparation of Nizhny Novgorod for participation in the All-Russian competition "Family Capital of Russia" — a federal contest being held for the first time by order of the President of Russia, with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The Institute's work in this direction is supported by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The OSNOVA program was cited among the key arguments in the region's presentation at the competition.
