The A. P. Gaidar Culture and Recreation Park is a municipal autonomous cultural institution of Arzamas (disambiguation), located on Lenin Avenue. The park is named after the writer Arkady Petrovich Gaidar, who had connections with Arzamas.

Landscaping and competition victories

Since 2019, the park has been implementing a comprehensive improvement project called "Center for Contemporary Culture." The project has twice won the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historic settlements — in 2018 and 2026. In 2026, the Arzamas project was among five winners from Nizhny Novgorod Region, alongside projects from Bor ("Borskiy Boulevard"), Sarov (the "Knowledge — Territory of Discovery" park), Semyonov ("The Blue of Semyonov's Forests"), and Balakhna (the renovation of Soviet Square).
