Main areas of scholarly activity
Management in social and economic systems, legal sciences, management. Author of more than 150 published scholarly works, including textbooks, a monograph, encyclopedias (2 editions), and about 30 study guides. Author of the Statute on Service in the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Russian Federation — a federal law approved by Decree of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of 23.12.1992 No. 4202-1; of the RSFSR Law of 11.03.1991 No. 2487-1 "On Private Detective and Security Activity in the RSFSR"; of Government of the Russian Federation Decree No. 720 of 23.07.1993 "On the Procedure and Conditions for Service Combined with Part-Time Work in the System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation"; and of the Comprehensive Programme of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Restructuring of Training, Retraining and Advanced Training of Internal Affairs Personnel (1987).
Membership in academic and public organizations
He was first deputy chairman of the trade union committee of Gorky State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, a deputy of the Yanovo village council, a member of the Gorky regional committee of the Komsomol; from 1974 to 1997 he was a member of the Academic Council of the Gorky Higher School of the USSR (Russian Federation) Ministry of Internal Affairs; from 1991 to 1993 he was a member of the working group of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for drafting regulatory legal acts concerning the activity of internal affairs bodies, and a member of the regional Council of the Student Scientific Society and other bodies. He was a member of the editorial boards of 30 collections of scholarly papers, executive editor of 10 collections of scholarly papers, and a member of the editorial council of the "International Academic Journal". Academician of the International Academy of Sciences, academician of the "Elita" Financial Academy.
