Restoration of Building 10 of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin is a project of repair and restoration work on a historic building located on the Kremlin's central square. In October 2026, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Berkovich Oleg announced that the work is scheduled to be completed in April 2027.[1]

Purpose of the building after restoration

Once the work is finished, Building 10 will house a new wing of the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum. The space is intended for inter-museum exhibitions; the art museum will act as curator of the venue. The first exhibition was planned to open at the same time as the completion of the repair work, in April 2027.[1]

Related work in the Kremlin

At the same time, the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin was undergoing the museumification of the Koromyslova Tower, which was expected to be completed by the end of 2026. In 2027, the authorities intended to begin similar work on the Clock Tower.[1]
