A bronze scale model of the grounds of the 1896 All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition is a memorial object unveiled on November 4, 2026, on the site between the Pakgauzy (Warehouses) in Nizhny Novgorod.[1] The model is dedicated to the 1896 exhibition, one of the largest events in the history of the Nizhny Novgorod land, which, according to the regional leadership, became the starting point for the development of the region's economy, industry, culture, and education.[1]

Description

The model is a historically accurate fragment of the urban environment, with detailed three-dimensional structures of the exhibition pavilions and other buildings that made up the grounds of the 1896 exhibition.[1] The unveiling of the object was announced by the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, who noted that the model is a reminder of the role of the Nizhny Novgorod land as a place that gathered the best from across the country and anticipated the technologies of the future.[1]

Context of the unveiling

Alongside the unveiling of the model, an exhibition titled "The Great All-Russian" (12+) was held at the Nizhny Novgorod Yarmarka, combining authentic artifacts of the era with modern technology. More than 30,000 people visited it during its run.[1]
