At Barrikad Street, building 1, block 3, stands the Church of Alexander Nevsky, which existed even when the street bore the name Aleksandro-Nevskaya — as evidenced by a photograph by M. P. Dmitriev taken in 1908–1911.[1]

Barrikad Street (formerly Aleksandro-Nevskaya, Barrikadnaya) was founded about a century ago. The street is home to a monument to Lenin. Barrikad Street is named in honor of the uprising during the Revolution of 1905. It is a cultural and historical landmark of the Sormovo District. At present, active construction of multi-story residential buildings is underway on Barrikad Street. It runs perpendicular to Kominterna Street.
