Key facts of his career
Electrical engineer at the Izhora Plant (1940-1941), the Uralmash Plant (1941-1943), the People's Commissariat of Tank Industry (1944), the Krasnoye Sormovo Plant (1945-1954). He defended his candidate's dissertation at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1952), and from 1954 taught at the Gorky Polytechnic Institute, first at the "Machinery and Technology of Metal Forming" department, and from 1960 at the "Metallurgical and Heating Furnaces" department. In 1967 he defended his doctoral dissertation.
Scientific work
Research on hydrodynamics and heat transfer in continuous steel casting plants, heat transfer during non-oxidizing heating, automation of furnace units, and other topics. From 1975 to 1986 he headed the department of heat engineering of the shipbuilding faculty. Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences. Author of about 200 publications, including 7 books and 13 teaching manuals.
