Key facts of career
His entire working and creative life has been tied to radio and television: editor at the Gorky TV Studio (1962-1987), own correspondent of USSR Gosteleradio, the RGTRK "Ostankino", and ORT for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the republics of Mari El, Mordovia, and Chuvashia (1987-1998), and of the Russian State Radio Company "Mayak" (from 1987 to the present), and a presenter of programs of the Nizhny Novgorod State Radio and Television Company — NTR (since 1998). Author of numerous television films and radio-TV programs (current affairs, the life and work of A. S. Pushkin, cosmonautics, ecology, and more), and author of 11 books of prose and poetry.

Member of the Public Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, member of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Writers of Russia, member of the Russian organizing committee for the publication of the complete collected works of A. S. Pushkin in 23 volumes (1994-1999), M. Yu. Lermontov in 10 volumes (1999-2002), and F. M. Dostoevsky in 18 volumes (2003-2006).

Honorary Citizen of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Honorary Railway Worker (2002), laureate of the Nizhny Novgorod Prize (1995, 2002, 2005), laureate of the Pushkin Prize of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (1999), and holder of the Yu. A. Gagarin Medal of the Cosmonautics Federation of the Russian Federation (2002).
