After graduating from the institute, he worked at the State Institute for the Design of Gas Pipeline Transport Facilities in the Central Regions "Giprogazcenter" (Gorky): engineer, senior engineer, group leader, head of the technological department. From 1988 he worked at the branch of the All-Union Research Institute of Natural Gases (VNIIgaz) of the USSR Ministry of the Gas Industry (Ukhta): chief engineer, head of the integrated design department, head of the small enterprise "Region" at the branch. Since September 1993 — general director of the institute OJSC "Giprogazcenter".

Main facts of his work

Direct participant in the design and commissioning of the main gas pipelines Urengoy-Petrovsk, Urengoy-Petrovsk-Novopskov, Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod, Urengoy-Center, Yamburg-Yelets, Yamburg-Tula, Pochinki-Yaroslavl, hundreds of kilometers of branch gas pipelines, automatic gas-filling compressor stations and other facilities; initiator, in 1997, of establishing a scientific direction at OJSC "Giprogazcenter" for diagnosing the technical condition of main gas pipelines and ensuring the safety of designed gas industry facilities. Under his leadership, a quality management system (QMS) based on the international standard ISO 9001 was developed, implemented and certified in 1998. In 2000 the company's QMS was also certified for compliance with GOST R ISO 9001, and it successfully passes all recertification supervisory and inspection audits conducted by the firm BVQI, Gosstroy and Gosstandart of the Russian Federation. Author of 5 inventions and 7 rationalization proposals, most of which have been applied at the gas transport enterprises "Volgotransgaz" and "Severgazprom" of the joint-stock company "Gazprom".

Publications

24 scientific papers published in the journal "Gas Industry" (Газовая промышленность), in the proceedings of scientific and technical conferences, issued as textbooks for students, and which became the basis for construction norms and methodological guides of OJSC "Gazprom".
