The Urga River is a small river in Nizhny Novgorod Region and Chuvashia, a left tributary of the The Sura River.
The river's depth ranges from 0.5 to 4 meters. In its middle course the river is 10-20 meters wide, widening to as much as 30 meters in pools near the mouth. The current is weak, and the bottom is mostly sandy. Part of the river is dammed, and many small bridges — for example, the one from Bykovka to Ivanovskoye — are half-ruined and flooded.
It belongs to the basin of the Volga.
Location
The Urga flows through the territory of the Sergachsky, Knyagininsky, Vorotynsky District and Spassky District.
The source lies in a ravine 5 km from the village of Tolba in Sergach District, Nizhny Novgorod Region. In its lower course the river flows along the border between Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Chuvash Republic.

Interesting facts
- Broken brick from the demolished house of the Bykovka landownerArkady Demidov was hauled across the Urga for the needs of the first five-year plans. The barge carrying the brick sank in the The Sura River.
