The Nature of the Station

A flagship station in the national REN TV network, part of its programming is purchased from the network, while the station also independently purchases the newest video content from major distribution film companies (ZAO "Central Partnership", OOO "Paradise Distribution Film Company", ZAO "ORT-Video", OOO "Delta-Invest"-Pyramid").

Logo

The first logo of "Seti" was presented as a snail with a television set instead of a shell on a yellow background, with the inscription "Seti NN".

In the next logo this theme was developed further, but of the snail only the antennae remained, peeking out against a green background. The bottom of the logo was orange.

In 2005 the station idents leaned toward family imagery: parents and children watching television, with the caption "Everyone is watching 'Seti'" at the bottom.

From March 2007 the inscription "Seti NN" was rendered in a strict typeface beneath the "REN TV" logo. The inscription itself would switch to show the current time and temperature in Nizhny Novgorod. The design of the idents was styled after the federal channel ("REN TV").

Development of Broadcasting

  • On March 16, 1993, the first news broadcast titled "By the Way" went on air.
  • From September 1994 until December 31, 1996 — network partner of "NTV".
  • On January 1, 1997, "Seti NN" changed its network partner to "REN TV", and in 2006 became the property of the "REN TV" media holding[1], which bought out all 100% of the shares.

From December 1, 2010, the Seti-NN television station reduced broadcasting in Nizhny Novgorod Region. Broadcasting is now carried out only from Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas. In the town of Zavolzhye, Seti NN broadcasts via the "Bormotov TV" cable network. Bormotov TV's analog antenna signal is aimed precisely at the Television Center in Nizhny Novgorod, which allows an analog picture of the highest quality to be received.
